Municipality Stari Grad has offical arms in three forms respecting heraldic standards, as well as the flag

Flag of Stari Grad repeats motif from shield (basic arms).

From the municipal Statute on coat of arms:

Article 5.

Municipality Stari Grad has its own coat of arms.

Municipal coat of arms is divided horizontally. Upper field is red, from divison line mural crenelation with three merlons rises, central merlon being wider. Behind central merlon, circular silver two-floor tower rises with crenelation and 2 arch windows on each floor. Above side merlons there are two golden trefoil patriarchal crosses. Bottom field contains two silver bends.

Municipal arms has two ceremonial forms: middle arms and greater arms.

Greater coat of arms is same as middle, but it also contains supporters: two silver eagles, armed in red with golden beaks and legs and with wings addorsed. Right eagle holds banner of arms of Belgrade fimbrated in gold, and left one holds banner of arms of Stari Grad. Both banners are hoisted on black flagpoles with golden tips. Postament is in form of city walls of Kalemegdan fortress with guard towers on sides, in proper colours.
